Founder & CEO
Dan is our founder from the sunny South Coast and is passionate about bringing solar and renewable energies to everyone. Out of work, Dan enjoys flying light aircraft, travel and trying weird and wonderful new foods.
Managing Director
With 20+ years working in FMCG, construction, and renewables, Dave Roberts brings a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role of Managing Director at HDM Energy. Six Sigma certified, Dave has a proven track record for driving efficiency, business growth, transformation, and supply chain optimisation. Having worked for other leading names within our industry, we are thrilled to have him on board.
Chief Financial Officer
Stephen is the CFO with over 30 years’ experience gained in the corporate and SME high-growth environments both nationally and internationally. He has extensive commercial finance and M&A transaction experience within service businesses and has also supported local government in the strategic electricity supply delivery. Among other interests, Stephen is an avid aviation enthusiast and private pilot.
Head of Sales
Liam’s career initially started within the construction industry, where he spent a decade specialising in project management. He then transitioned into the energy sector, where he has over 15 years of management experience. Liam’s experience has seen him successfully advise small renewable energy start-ups, offering his expert advice and guidance. He has also secured £500 million worth of funding and supported the rapid growth of those businesses he has partnered with. With a wealth of operational experience spanning 25 years, Liam’s dedication to sustainability and client-centric approach aligns with everything we strive to achieve at HDM Energy.
Head of Marketing
With extensive experience across marketing, brand, and communications, Judith Sewell MCIM brings a strong strategic and customer‑focused perspective to her role at HDM Energy. As Head of Marketing, Judith has a proven track record of driving brand growth, simplifying complex propositions, and supporting business scale through clear, compelling communications. With deep industry insight and a passion for renewable energy, Judith plays a key role in strengthening HDM Energy's market presence and supporting customers and partners on the journey towards a more sustainable future.
Financial Controller
With over 17 years’ experience in finance, including five years as Financial Controller within an Isle of Man-regulated SME, Adam brings a wealth of expertise in financial management and control to HDM Energy. FCCA qualified, he has held a range of UK-based Financial Controller and Group Accounts Manager roles, building a broad and adaptable skill set across multiple sectors. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Adam delivers timely, robust management information, while leading audit processes and statutory reporting.
Director of Operations
With over 15 years’ experience in operational leadership, Victoria brings deep expertise in building scalable operating models and delivering complex infrastructure programmes to her role as Director of Operations at HDM Energy. Her career has focused on enabling high-growth organisations to expand with control and confidence, developing strong capabilities across end-to-end project delivery, funding governance, and operational risk management. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, Victoria plays a critical role in supporting HDM’s rapid growth, ensuring that capital deployment, delivery quality, and long-term performance remain tightly aligned.
Contracts & Procurement Manager
Bringing extensive experience in contract management and framework agreements, Callum oversees all contractual and procurement aspects of Energy Projects. He plays a pivotal role in guiding projects from the sales funnel through to material delivery, fostering strong relationships with key installers and suppliers to secure favourable terms and conditions. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and socialising with friends.
Renewable Assets Manager
With a strong operational and commercial background, Darren plays a key role in supporting the continued growth of HDM Energy. Bringing hands‑on experience within the renewable‑energy sector, Darren is closely involved in driving delivery, supporting the wider team, and ensuring high standards across day‑to‑day operations. With a practical, people‑focused approach and a clear commitment to HDM Energy’s mission, Darren contributes to helping businesses access cleaner, more affordable energy solutions.
Business Development Executive
Dave is a Business Development Executive at HDM Energy. With over a decade of experience in business development and customer‑focused sales across utilities, telecoms and financial services, he supports organisations in reducing energy costs while progressing their sustainability goals.
Technical and Delivery Supervisor
With over 16 years’ experience as a fully qualified electrician, James brings strong technical expertise to his role as Technical and Delivery Supervisor at HDM Energy. Having transitioned from industrial electrics into the renewables sector, he has developed a solid understanding of installation environments and the evolving demands of clean energy delivery. As part of the delivery team, James supports commissioning and project handovers, helping to ensure installations are completed to a high standard and ready for seamless client adoption.
Lead Designer
Josh helps deliver the HDM Group's free design service, which supports projects of all sizes, from residential to large commercial projects. With a wealth of experience in designing solar energy systems, he helps our customers find the best solutions.
