HDM Energies is proud to announce the launch of its latest community-focused project in partnership with Handsworth Juniors Football Club.
As part of their commitment to supporting grassroots sports clubs, HDM Energies will be providing a fully funded 33 kWp solar array and a zero-capital cost 40 kWh battery through its Energy for All scheme. This initiative will help the club reduce energy costs while creating a long-term renewable energy legacy.
Stephen Holmes, Chairman of Handsworth Juniors, said:
"Our solar installation from HDM Energies marks the latest stage in our bid to make Handsworth Juniors more sustainable, both financially and environmentally. For HDM Energies to provide this fully funded solution gives us a massive boost, especially with the addition of a fully funded EV charging facility that will generate an extra revenue stream for the club. Thank you to the HDM and Troo teams for their hard work in helping us achieve this."
David Todd, National Sales Manager at HDM Energies, commented:
"Working with community organisations like Handsworth Juniors aligns perfectly with our mission at HDM Energies. Providing a fully funded solution to this wonderful, progressive club goes toward fulfilling the vision of our owners and investors. We look forward to following the progress of Handsworth Juniors – judging by the quality of football we watched on Tuesday, they have a very bright future ahead!"
This project was made possible through HDM Energies’ collaboration with Troo, a national energy consultancy that supports organisations by helping them connect with renewable energy solutions such as the Energy for All scheme.
HDM Energies’ Energy for All scheme allows businesses and organisations to adopt rooftop solar at zero capex. Through a PPA, organisations purchase the energy generated on-site at a low, fixed rate, reducing reliance on the National Grid, lowering electricity costs and cutting emissions.
This partnership reinforces HDM Energies' dedication to sustainability and community support, ensuring that clubs like Handsworth Juniors can thrive while reducing their environmental impact.
