HDM Energies is thrilled to announce a new partnership with Felixstowe and Walton FC, bringing a fully funded solar power and battery solution to this fantastic community club.
As part of this collaboration, the club will receive a 38.94kWp solar panel system, complemented by a 69kW battery. This setup will allow Felixstowe and Walton FC to power floodlit games entirely with solar energy, underscoring their commitment to sustainability and reducing reliance on traditional energy sources.
Under HDM Energies’ Energy for All scheme, the solution is delivered at no upfront cost through a 12-year Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) at a competitive rate of 18p per kWh. The system is expected to generate 31,611 kWh annually, surpassing the club’s annual consumption of 26,236 kWh and ensuring sustainable energy independence.
Tony Barnes, Chairman of Felixstowe and Walton FC, shared his enthusiasm for the project:
“This partnership comes at an exciting time for the club. Improving our environment is vital to both the club and the community. Our thanks to Mark Boyce at Troo and the whole team at HDM Energies for making this concept a reality.”
David Todd, National Sales Manager at HDM Energies, added:
“Tony and all the staff at this excellent club have truly embraced the potential of a fully funded solar and battery solution. We’re excited to see the fantastic results this system will deliver for the club, both on and off the pitch.”
This project was made possible through HDM Energies’ collaboration with Troo, a national energy consultancy that supports organisations by helping them connect with renewable energy solutions such as the Energy for All scheme.
