HDM Energies, in partnership with Troo, is thrilled to announce the launch of a groundbreaking renewable energy project with Eastbourne United Football Club.
This initiative will provide the club with a fully funded solar and battery solution, complemented by EV charge points - all at zero upfront cost.
The project includes the installation of a 38.61 kWp solar panel system and a 69 kWh battery, marking the final step in a transformative development at Eastbourne United FC.
This renewable solution will not only reduce the club’s carbon footprint but also lower energy bills, delivering significant cost savings to the club.
Matt Thompson, Chairman of Eastbourne United Football Club, said:
“The fully funded solar and battery solution provided by David Todd at HDM Energies helps us continue our journey to make Eastbourne United a self-sustaining, green organisation. We take great pride in being part of HDM Energies’ pioneering efforts to bring renewable energy to sporting clubs across the country.”
Callum Kerman, Contracts & Procurement Manager at HDM Energies, added:
“Designing systems for clubs like Eastbourne United FC presents its challenges, but at HDM Energies, we are determined that nothing will slow the roll-out of our renewable solutions to these amazing community facilities. As a football fan myself, I take great pride in doing my part to safeguard the future of these community clubs and, by extension, the great game we all love.”
This project is part of HDM Energies’ Energy for All scheme, which aims to make renewable energy accessible to organisations of all sizes. By offering fully funded solar, battery and EV charging solutions, the scheme helps businesses and community facilities adopt greener practices with no upfront investment, ensuring cost savings and reduced environmental impact.
This initiative exemplifies the shared vision of HDM Energies and Troo to drive sustainability across grassroots sports. By empowering clubs like Eastbourne United FC with green energy solutions, they are ensuring a more sustainable future for sports and the communities that support them.
