Sales Executive

Location: Hull

Hours: 8-4.30pm

Salary: Basic upto 35K (DOE) OTE upto £55 (targets met)

Role overview

As Sales Executive, you will play a pivotal role in driving and supporting the sales through the pipeline, creating proposals and quotes. You will play a key role in generating revenue and ensuring long-term success to the business whilst encompassing planning, providing exceptional customer service, assisting customers with their quotes, proposals, and coordinating activities across various departments to ensure seamless project execution.

Key responsibilities
  • Ensure the sales strategy for delivering CAPEX, Finance & PPA Renewable projects is fulfilled in line with the companies’ set objectives.
  • Create and submit Sales review, pipeline and KPI results against set targets and objectives.
  • Ensure sales best practice & principes are consistent, on brand, approach with both internal and external customers.
  • Conducting door-to-door sales presentations across a variety of commercial sectors.
  • Action all incoming emails, flagging and tracking what has and hasn’t been addressed.
  • Support business opportunities in the renewable energy sector, with a particular focus on solar power generation, energy trading, EV solutions, CAPEX and Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs).
  • Follow up on proposals with potential customers to maintain engagement and drive conversions.
  • Action and guide leads through the sales funnel, from initial contact and PPA proposal creation to quotation and deal closure.
  • Develop professional proposals and presentations tailored to customer needs.
  • Conduct client engagement calls with new and existing customers per week to promote additional products and services.
  • Effectively utilising and inputting data into the selected CRM systems to ensure all types of leads, calls, matured projects, and other relevant information are accurately captured, while adhering to established parameters and targets.
  • Ensuring administration is kept up to date, supporting raising CAPEX & PPA proposals, submission of supporting reports to LM & Senior management.
  • Provide ongoing support to key accounts, addressing any queries or concerns and ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks as needed to support the business and team objectives.
  • Provide operational support to cover holiday leave, absences, or other staffing gaps as required.
Education and qualification
  • Any relevant NVQ qualifications.
  • Educated to a GCSE level or equivalent.
  • Experience in using Microsoft Applications.
  • Experience in using CRM Applications.
Skill and experience
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in sales, preferably 1 years’ experience in Solar & renewable industries Expertise in Power Purchase Agreements, energy trading, and utility-scale solar assets.
  • A strong working knowledge of solar power with a keen interest in renewable energy.
  • Proven track record of delivering results and exceeding targets.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage senior decision-makers.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and overall computer literacy.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and detail-oriented team player.
  • Able to assist and supporting at board level.
  • Computer literacy, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and Outlook.
  • The ability to thrive both independently and as part of a team.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Strong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, to meet strict deadlines.
